Meet Our Team

The Saint Tikhon's House Renovation Project has been founded under the auspices of the Diocesan Council of the Western American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. It consists of a panel of gifted and motivated people of all ages who are dedicating their time and talents to the repairs and restoration of Saint Tikhon's House -- the orphanage founded by Saint John of Shanghai and San Francisco the Wonderworker, that today serves as a vibrant parish and Diocesan Center.

The facades of Saint Tikhon's House have fallen into serious disrepair leaving the building open to degrade further due to constant exposure to moisture. A full investigation of the damage to the building was performed by a professional forensic engineer who has provided a complete report on its weaknesses and made recommendations for solving the issues.

Based on that report the Saint Tikhon's House Renovation Project Team is committed to raising $4,900,000 to cover the necessary expenses for repairs and restoration of the building, and has a broader mission to gather seed money for the creation of a Foundation that will maintain the Saint Tikhon’s House into the future.
